Mod Cloth (trixie)

I love http://www.modcloth.com/! Specifically, I really like their dresses because most of them are designed in a retro/chic style. The next time I go to a semi-formal event, I am definitely ordering my dress from Mod Cloth. Here are some pictures of my favorite dresses on the website.

1. "Strawberry Shortcake Dress-" Red is one of my favorite colors to wear. I really like the sleeves on this dress.
2. "Frock of the Town Dress"- I love this dress because it is so wild and unique.
3. "Little Girl Blue Dress"- This is a casual dress I found on Mod Cloth. I think it is really cute!

Awesome websites!

I was snooping around on Glamour magazines website and discovered two great sites! One: www.whattowear.com is a fashion advice website. It's so easy to become a member and my question was answered within the day that I posted it! The other great website is http://www.beforeyouwerehot.com/ it's a website that shows people when they were younger and how they look now. So, if your ever feeling like your not gonna grow out of that awkward teenage stage just check out this site. GRITS (trixie)

I have been eating this tasty Southern breakfast dish all week, so I decided to talk about grits in this post. I find it scary that a lot of people don't know what grits are so here's a picture.

It is a dish similar to oatmeal, but it consists of a cornmeal rather than oat base. Also unlike oatmeal, people usually add cheese to grits instead of fruit. When preparing grits, one should follow a crucial guideline (otherwise, the grits will be incredibly bland): use chicken stock rather than water when cooking the grits. I also find that stone-ground grits are better than the regular kind.

SNL

Well, I have this friend (specifically Trixie) who does this great impersonation of Kristen Wigg's SNL skit "Dont Make Me Sing." I thought it would be perfect to post it on here and surprise her but I could not find it on YouTube so I went hunting for some other SNL skit that was funny and heres what I found.
P.S. I think most people have seen this by now but I still think its great.

Fred Flare (trixie)

I have known about this website for a while, and I have always loved browsing its Accessories section. While the store is a bit expensive, I think Fred Flare is an awesome place to buy unique items and gifts. I have inserted a few pictures below of my favorite items on the website.

I think these band-aids are so cute that I wouldn't want to use them up! The bandage tin includes fifteen band-aids, and the three Pac-Man patterns are shown in the picture.

I have never been able to find a cute camera case...until now. It is a little pricey at $28, but I think it is a really neat case to use when you're on the go and need a place to keep your camera safe.


Fred Flare has a small collection called Disney Couture that features interesting pieces like this. This bracelet is called the Pocahontas cuff that includes two charms made to look like Pocahontas's hummingbird and raccoon friends. Ice Cream DeLICiousness!

I just bought these Skinny Cow Truffle French Vanilla ice creams bars and they are supah good! Was last night the end of Glee?!?! (trixie)

I saw this video on Hulu that freaked me out because it is titled "It's the Last Episode of Glee!" I watched it and couldn't tell if the Glee actors were talking about the end of the season or the actual end of the show. I really don't want Glee to end because... 1. it is amazing 2. it is a musical and a tv show 3. i don't have anything else to watch on Tuesday nights and 4. did I say that it is amazing?? Could this really be happening? Is Glee's second season its last?

P.S. I did find a new show to watch on Monday nights on NBC called Persons Unknown. It is a one season long mini series that is about a group of people who are kidnapped and all wake up in a hotel in the middle of a creepy ghost town. What makes the show spooky is that there are cameras everywhere around the town and the captives know that someone or some people are watching their every move. I like this new show because it is reminiscent of the Twilight Zone tv series, and it has the guy who played Cameron on Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Below is a picture of the characters.

A Sweet Escape!

I've really been in a "beach" mood recently but I feel with the recent oil spill, thats becoming more unlikely. I've recently been reading Tori Spelling's autobiography sTORI Telling and I'm loving it! She and her husband went to Figi and I saw it in the background and thought it looked beautiful! The pictures above are of Figi. I also really recommend it to read this summer because while its easy to judge Tori, I feel like shes just trying to make it in the world like the rest of us.

floral jeans...with a spin! (trixie)

This past spring, I have grown to love the "floral" trend. I absolutely love these jean shorts from Forever 21 because they are both trendy and casual. Unlike other varieties of floral jeans, these shorts are practical. You don't find yourself trying them on and thinking, "Where am I ever going to wear these?" Paired with a cute t-shirt or tank top, these jeans would help to create an adorable, laid-back look. Personally, I think these jeans could help you wear a pretty style without looking like you copied your outfit from a magazine.

Sometimes I wonder if anyone will ever read this but I suppose thats part of the fun. I just wanted to share a recent website I discovered that has AMAZing shoes! And at an affortable price. Their other stuff is okay but I'm more of a fan of the shoes!
